Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

November 25, 2017

Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive – but not how to live.

A warm and uplifting story of one seemingly normal woman navigating the modern world. Eleanor Oliphant leads a quiet life, she has an office job, a modest but cosy flat and a weekly phone call with her Mum.

But as you get to know this character, you realise she is far more complex. She makes a new friend at work, someone who her mother might not approve of but someone who breaks down the high protective walls that Eleanor has built around her life. As each brick is removed, her true gorgeous self shines through. She learns to trust both herself and the man that is very gently turning her world upside down, or maybe, the right side up.

I fell in love with this story and I can't wait for the film to be released. Rumour is Reese Witherspoon will be in it so I know it's going to be right up my street!

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is out 25th January 2018 from HarperCollins.
